Good News At Last!
Monday, March 28th, 2011

It’s been a crazy two weeks. Liberty States Fiction Writers had their second annual conference which I chair on March 19th so the week leading up to that was total chaos. I was running around like a nut with last minute details and prep. The conference was without a doubt awesome. The workshops were great, the weather was great(last year we had a monsoon during the conference). Of course, a conference wouldn’t be a conference unless something went wrong. In this case it was NJ Transit losing power and stranding one of my editors and some of my attendees for hours. The good news is everyone was fine and a terrific time was had by all.

In the midst of all of this, craziness I got some fabulous news. The story that I wrote with the lovely and talented Melinda Leigh was acquired by Carina Press. It made the conference that much more special because we got to announce this sale, her first sale, to the group at large.

Last week I admit it, I was a lazy slug. I think I more then earned a little down time. Of course, I didn’t take too much down time. I’ve already got my eye on next year’s conference. Plus Melinda and I have started work on book two of our series.

As for me, now that I’m recharged and ready to go I intend to divide my time between my joint project and my solo project, the sequel to The Demon He Knows. It’s time to give Adrian and Leland my attention.

Oh, if you get a chance to stop in I’ll be getting interviewed by Bitten by Book on Wednesday April 6th. Please stop in and say hello.

More next week.

Thursday Night Fun
Saturday, March 12th, 2011

This past Thursday, I went to see Jeff Dunham live.

The show opened with comedian/musician Brian Haner aka Guitar Guy performing some of his songs. Her started by performing this one

Then on to Jeff. He is a terrifically funny comedian/ventriloquist. If you’ve never seen him before here is a short clip featuring three of my favorite characters that he does.

He really does take the saying “use what you know” to heart. He takes events in his life even semi sad ones and turns them into something hysterically funny. I’ve seen many of his shows on tv and in each show some of his funniest bits outside of the puppets are when he’s talking about things his family has done. Just goes to show there is comedy all around us we just have to look for it.

If you need a good laugh definitely check out more of Jeff Dunham’s comedy.

Talk soon

Me, Live and In Person
Sunday, March 6th, 2011

Not too much new this week. Remember I told you me and my writing partner had a story in with Carina Press? Guess what, we’re still waiting to hear.

I am however making a few appearances. I’ll be signing at the Liberty States Fiction Writers’ Conference Book Fair. Click Here to see a complete list of authors signing at the book fair.

Plus the three ladies of Attacking the Page will be giving a workshop at RWA national in NYC at the end of June. If your attending be sure to stop in and check out the action.

Still moving forward on the sequel to The Demon He Knows. The title is still undetermined.Any suggestions on what to call a M/M angel and demon reunion story?

Other then writing, working out, and conference planning, it’s been a quiet week.

That’s all for now.
